I want to start of by saying that I use this tool myself, especially when I work with large international clients. It’s a powerful tool if you know how to use it.
Over 1 000 000 people use it for the community features which is completely free, this includes a huge library filled with CAD models. The true power however, comes from the workbench tool which makes it very useful if you’re working with a manufacturer or a team of people. The way it works is that you upload your models to a shared folder, where it is possible to comment on changes and view what’s going on without having to start your actual CAD software. A project manager can for example see what’s going on with the drafts in a 3D environment without having to pay for a CAD software license.
Another cool thing that you can do is to overlay two different versions of your model to see what has changed, it automatically tracks and stores these versions too!
